Do you need a facebook account to view a business page? Learn the pros and cons

At any given time, you can read anything on a Facebook page without your own Facebook account, since all Facebook pages are designed as public platforms for advertising a product, service or personality. You wouldn't be able to leave comments on the Facebook page or interact with it in any other way. However, you can read everything that someone with a Facebook account can, which can be good, as was mentioned, for keeping tabs on the competition, or even for finding other businesses with which you can do business.

do you need a facebook account to view a business page

To read a personal profile, though, it might be trickier than that. Without a Facebook account, it's possible you could read some information such as a person's Facebook "Favorites." Or you might not see anything at all except her name and profile photo. To have a chance at seeing more, you'd need an account. However, even with an account you might not be able to read much more, such as posted photos or her Facebook timeline, since she might make those elements visible only to those with whom she's "friends" on the network. So when it comes to personal profiles, what you can read depends on how private the person wants to be on Facebook.

The good news is, even though your personal profile and business page look like they are inextricably connected, no one but you can see that connection. Facebook treats them like two separate entities.

Just because you created a business page does not mean the two profiles will show up as linked on the social media platform. Anything you post on your personal page will stay there and not show up on your business page, and vice versa.

Thank you for the above, what im having trouble with is being up to find a way on my business page to like and follow other businesses can you advise me on how to do this without it defaulting to my personal page? Thanks

My personal page was hacked and I had to create new. The problem is that the page that was hacked was linked to my business page. My old personal profile no longer exist, but I my business page is still present. I can seem to find a way to get into the business page. Please assist. Thanks

Hi Jay, thanks for your comment. You can turn business page notifications off on your personal profile page, then just set up notifications to be delivered by email or via the Pages app (which you can use to manage your business page). Hope that helps.

An employee for my small business set up our Facebook page for the business. She is no longer with the business. Now when I post things on instagram and share it to my business page , it still says posted by ___________ (old employees name).. She is no longer affiliated with the business. How can I change this?

What happens when you post in your own FB business profile, does the post appear in your personal or business account ? If in your personal name, then people can just click on your name and see your personal profile ?

The action button at the top of your Page serves as your main call to action. You can link to your website, a special landing page or offer, or connect to business-specific services, such as online ordering for restaurants, and more.

If you're a business owner who has a Facebook page, here's a primer that clarifies who sees what you do on both your personal profile and your business page, and how you can control all of it, at any time.

Your business page is where you market your business on Facebook. You create your business page from your personal profile, and you can have unlimited business pages (although having too many gets cumbersome to manage).

The number of fans who see your posts is called Reach. In 2020, organic Facebook reach (reach you achieve without ads) is around 6.5% for the average business page. The more a fan engages with your posts, the more consistently they'll see your posts.

The best engagement, in order, is a Share, a Comment, and a Like on your posts. When a fan shares your post, their friends see the post in its entirety. When a fan comments on a post, their friends see the comment and a link to your business page. When they like your post, their friends see that they liked the post and a link to your page.

When you like a business post, your friends see it (or whomever you've identified in your Privacy settings). When people visit that business page Timeline, they'll be able to see that you liked that post as well.

Your NewsFeed is your Home page on Facebook. Whenever you login, you're taken to your NewsFeed, which displays one long page of posts, photos, and videos from your friends and businesses you've liked.

There are a few different ways to get access to your clients' Facebook assets. They range Instead of asking for from using your clients' login (remember, never do that!), to getting individually added via your personal Facebook account as a person to your clients' page or ad account, requesting access as a Facebook Partner is optimal. None of these options are great though.

When the inevitable happens, you don't want to be the holder of all the keys. You want an easy way out, so if the next agency needs access to an account, you are not the one who has to give it to them. We've all been there. Just keep it simple and leave ownership of assets with your client.

Facebook Business Manager (or Meta Business Suite) allow you to manage and access all Facebook business assets in one central place. While clients often don't have Facebook Business Manager set up, especially if they don't have a Facebook ad account, it is highly advisable for them to set this up.

Like Instagram stories, Facebook stories are another way individual users and business pages can connect with their friends and followers. Stories are short pieces of content that are visible for just 24 hours. After 24 hours, the stories disappear from the newsfeed.

Set up your privacy settings. Personalize your profile. Like and follow public pages. Review your timeline. Add friends on Facebook. Post on Facebook. Add photos and videos. Connect with friends. Review your newsfeed. Discover additional Facebook features.

You can also view Messenger on its own page, where you can search for past conversations and manage your settings. To view Messenger on its own page tap the Messages button in the top right corner of any Facebook page and then tap the See All in Messenger button.

When you set up Facebook and Instagram by Meta, you authorize the app to access a Facebook Page for your business as well as a Facebook ad account and Facebook Business Manager. Facebook Business Manager is a tool that you can use to organize and manage all of your Facebook business accounts, like your Pages and ad accounts. The Facebook Page might connect to your personal Facebook account, but Shopify uses your personal Facebook account information only to access the Facebook Page, Ads Manager account, and Facebook Business Manager for pixel tracking purposes.

If your Facebook account has an administrator or editor role on a Facebook page, then you can post, comment, and message as the page without customers seeing personal information. Learn more about Facebook Page roles.

If you have a personal ad account, then you need to connect it to a Business Manager. If you've never run ads with your personal ad account, then you need to create a new ad account inside Business Manager before you can create Facebook ad campaigns. Learn more about Business Manager and ad accounts from the Facebook Ads Help Center.

On Facebook, you need an admin role for a Page and Business Manager before you can access all of Facebook's settings and make certain changes. Pages and Business Managers have separate account permissions, which means that you need admin roles for each one. The Business Manager that you select in Facebook and Instagram by Meta must be the owner of the Facebook page during onboarding. If the Facebook Page is owned by a different Business Manager, then the Facebook Page isn't listed as an option to connect. If you can't connect a desired Facebook Page, then check that the Facebook Business Manager you are connecting owns the Facebook page, or try connecting a different Business Manager.

Make videos pleasant for the auto loop. Remember that Facebook cover videos play on a loop. Once they end, they automatically play over if the viewer is still browsing your Facebook page. Make sure whatever content you upload is pleasing to see when played over and over.

Facebook also lets you include an action button at the top of your page. You can use it to direct visitors toward the action you want them to take, such as calling your business, viewing your store, or even sending a message.

If your client needs help setting up Business Manager, I recommend jumping on a video call and having them share their screen so you can walk them through each step. Remember, they will have to be the ones who create the Business Manager on their account so they are the owner.

First, your client needs a personal Facebook account to start, then the process is simple: they need to go to the Facebook Business Manager page and click the Create Account button, then they must enter the name of their business and email address.

To add a new ad account, the client needs to head to Business Settings in Business Manager, click on Accounts, and then click on Add Accounts. They should see a dropdown menu with three options, one of which being to add a new account. Then proceed to complete the process.

To add people to Business Manager, the client needs to go to Business Settings, click Add People, and type the email address of the person they want to invite. Lastly, your client will have to click Next and select the role they want to assign. Remember to also have them give you access to the appropriate Facebook Page and ad account. 2ff7e9595c
